This past weekend we stopped at the first day of the Sunnyside Strolls. It was full of people! Especially little people—lots of kids were there with their parents, since it was the Children’s Arts and Crafts Fair themed weekend. We took some photos of the day and thought we’d share them with you.

After walking through the Stroll, I headed to Pecas Y Mas, a Colombian spot on Greenpoint Ave, that makes my favorite cholado in Queens. It was nice sitting there outside the restaurant, enjoying my summery fruity bliss.

Cholado: shave ice topped with fruit syrup, lechera, and fresh fruit with coconut. A perfect summer delight!

There are two Sunnyside Strolls remaining! Saturday, August 3 is the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Concert, 12-7 p.m., and Saturday, August 10 is Arts and Performance, 12-7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
